It's E not I/L.I.V F.S.H.N

So I know this news isn't exactly hot off the press but I meant to blog about these earlier in the week, but never got round to it.

The Dr. Martens S/S 11 collection previews were released not so long ago, and tbh, they blew my mind.

In Liverpool, we've always prided ourselves on liking to believe we're pretty clued up on style, despite what you see on Snog, Marry, Avoid.

The younger generation of Scouse Girls in particular are definitely moving forward in their thinking behind their style, and increasingly trying and experimenting with new styles, and not even in like an OTT way. More like in a way that they are more willing to try styles that they have seen around from times gone by.

It was only last night, that myself and Eugene from StyleTransition were in Liverpool One, and a group of girls were wearing Dr. Martens. Except these girls were not Emos, nor Goths, who were probably the bait of many jokes for wearing such shoes. These were your typical 14-year-old Scouse girls, who a couple of years ago decided to bite the bullet, try something a bit foreign to what they knew, and buy Converse All Stars, (not exactly breaking balls I know but for them it might well have been) then the next year, they bought a pair of Vans Authentic (albeit being purple, but at least they're moving on.)

This year what did they buy?

Dr. Martens.

It's amazing the popularity of them at the moment, and it's quite refreshing to see.

The new uniform of Liverpool has completely changed over the past two or three years, and the change is more apparent than ever, for me at least, not being here properly for three months.

The American Apparel store in Liverpool One sells more hoodies, than any other American Apparel store in the world.

THE WORLD.

It's been said before, but American Apparel hoodies and Vans now go hand-in-hand, and we're a little bit bored of seeing every other kid in this get-up, but j'amean, it'd probably blow a newcomer's mind to see this mini army.

I've badly gone off topic here; I probably could have split this into two posts, but cba.

Anyway, back to the shoes in hand.

I had nothing but love for Dr. Martens when I was little; I had a flowery pink pair, and a red patent leather pair, and I ran everywhere in them, and wore them with everything, including a white jersey Bon Bleu tracksuit.

Any Liverpool girls reading - remember Bon Bleu?

I stumbled across the S/S 11 collection, and it is literally the bomb.

There are some animal print ones too, but I don't know if I could pull off leopard-print-footwear, but I've got a lot of love for the pastels.

I've not been as excited about a new footwear collection of this sort for a long time.

Roll on the release.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOOM! LUNCH CLUB TEE!

My darling little friend Bethany took these photos for me, and I found it to be very uncomfortable.

I'm not sure how long it takes certified fashion bloggers to be relaxed behind the camera and get photos taken of them by other people.

Maybe I'll just stick to posing by myself infront of PhotoBooth.

Anyway, said friend bought me this tee for Christmas, and it was a very welcomed surprise.

It's from Full Up and Eating, and it came with very cute add ons like little stickers of hamburgers.

MTCX is a very talented young man; he's kinda the farmer driving the FUAE tractor, but he's drafted in a few apprentices along the way to make up his blog, and it's a very good blog at that.

So here it is in all its hamburger goodness.

Much love to the lunch club, and of course Bee Bop.

New Shoes of Late.

Remember I briefly showed you my Mustard Blazers I bought? The first day I bought them, I wore them to a dirty party, which was just the route to their demise I guess.

I've worn them a lot, and as much as I love them, it's easy to become sick of something you wear near enough everyday.

The denim bleed on them is irreversible, and the laces are in a mess, so I knew I had to do something about it, and I decided to buy myself a new pair of shoes to treat myself for Christmas.

I bought these little babies.

Look familiar?

Continuing with this theme, I went to Cheshire Oaks today, which is kinda like Bicester Village's younger, scallier cousin.

I got two pairs of shoes for under 65 Snides (there's no pound sign on this Mac; only euro or dollar, so snide will have to suffice) which excited me very much.

Merry Christmas to me! Rather happy with these little purchases. Bargains are the bomb.

Did you all go sale shopping? I had a few tweets warning me not to brave Cheshire Oaks, and those tweeters were right, it was busy as f'ck.

I've got Anchorman on, while I'm blogging away and trying to tidy my room.. I haven't really unpacked since I got home. Oops. Only here for another week. Sad times.

So really though, New Year's Eve is creeping up, and it seems there are little to none plans being thrown around, however I heard whispers of the Kazimier? Except I can't seem to find what's on? Can anybody help/deny/confirm that anything is going on?

Many tanx.

Tings ta Tink About.

I like the bottom one.
And the penultimate one.
And the third one.
I try and live by the second one.
And I'd like to try the first one, but I ain't sure how easy that would be.

Happy Boxing Day!

And Merry Christmas of course!

Seasons Greetings, y'all! How has your Christmas been?

I went to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve for the second year on the run; last year in Mossley Hill Church, this year the Anglican Cathedral. Next year, maybe the Sistine Chapel. Who knows.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not really religious, I just love the idea of celebrating Christmas the second it officially begins, and singing carols in a lovely atmosphere.

I also used the opportunity of going out in the cold at night as an excuse to wear my Granny's wool camel coat, which is an absolute babe to wear in the icy air.

What did you all get yesterday? I got perfume, which I AM MADE UP ABOUT because I haven't had any for ages. People in work don't even know that usually I dowse myself in Chanel Chance. Roll on the new year peeps; prepare for your nostril hairs to be singed.

I'm not sure what today entails for me. I'm sitting here in a bit of a haze after watching the documentary about Beyonce's I am Sasha Fierce Tour. She's unbelievable. The woman is a machine.

I'm contemplating heading into town to see if I can brave the crowds and see if I can snap up any bargains, but I've told myself I'm going to save up for an iPhone 4G. My 3G -not even 3GS, is groin-grabbingly slow.

Much love you guys - if anybody has any ideas for New Year celebrations - throw them at me.

Twitter Tymz.

I've blatantly just copied this from returnofthemac.wordpress.com but I had to do it.

I was looking back over my tweets from the past few months, and boy oh boy do I chat a lot of bubbles.

Clearly, I mainly talk about Eastenders, Nike, Food and the Kardashians.

Here's a round-up of some of the most bubbliest of tweets I've tweeted.

Seriously though, how do I have as many followers as I do?

Sorry for filling up your feeds with this sh't.

Literally, guys I'm sorry for chatting so much sh't; maybe I'll chill out in 2011.
